Join Shane Joyce for a unique live-in and hands-on workshop for farmers, gardeners and nature lovers. Two days covering everything from the background of biodynamics, regenerative agriculture, syntropics, mind-set, intentions, vibrations, breathing, laughing, sharing meals, eating by the fire, watching shooting stars, and so much more... Infinite possibilities!

Directions to get here:

Turn off the Wide Bay Highway to the North, opposite the hotel onto James road to the Showgrounds/Mudlo National Park. Continue for approximately 4km, crossing Wide Bay Creek over Mactaggarts bridge. ‘Kumbartcho’ is the first property on the right after the bridge.

What's covered in the workshop?

• Background of biodynamics and its origin 

• Making biodynamic soil activator 

• Making biodynamic compost 

• Cow Horn Manure 

• Sourcing your biodynamic needs on farm 

• Practical application of biodynamics from garden to broadacre 

• Dowsing to ask your land and plants what they want

• Making biodynamic liquid ferments for foliar application 

• Hands on planting trees with soil activator and compost 

• Creating Syntropics Beds

When to arrive:

  • Earlybirds - You are invited to arrive on Friday 26th
  • And for the “Laterbirds”, departure on Monday 1st is welcomed
  • “Any-time-in-between-birds” is more than fine for arrivals and departures :)
  • We’ll kick off each day at 9am and finish at 4pm

Entertainment: Bring musical instruments and or any campfire talents you have for Saturday night!

Food: Please bring provisions for yourself (and your mob/family) for each meal, with the view that we’ll put all of our food together with the whole group to share. Please find a rough meal layout below for the weekend. 

Saturday

  •  Morning Tea - Home Baked Goods/Fruit
  •   Lunch - Cold meat, quiche & Salad
  •   Afternoon Tea - Home baked goods/Fruit
  •   Dinner - BBQ and salad (Kumbartcho will supply Farm reared meat)

Sunday

  •   Breakfast - Cereal,bacon & eggs, toast
  •   Morning Tea - Home baked goods/Fruit
  •   Lunch - Cold meat, quiche & saladPreferably bring food that doesn’t really need much preparation ie. Cold Meats, Quiches, Bread & Salads

We will have a cold room to store food

*Of course, if you’re arriving early on Friday and/or leaving later on Monday, please bring provisions for these extra meals too.

  • Bring your swag, tent, camper, caravan etc.
  • Rooms available on site (donation-based) Both options include access to hot showers ;-)
